Anderson Knight is recruiting a QHSE Compliance Officer for a well-established company based in the Motherwell area. This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for ensuring the ongoing compliance of ISO and industry certifications across the business, while supporting internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives. The role will report directly to the Operations Manager and involve cross-departmental collaboration.
Hours: Monday β Thursday 8am β 5pm, and Friday 8am β 4pm.
Salary: Β£32,500-Β£37,500
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain certification of Integrated Management Systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with industry accreditations such as CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, and Building Confidence.
- Plan and carry out internal audits across business operations and construction projects, ensuring alignment with company policies and ISO standards.
- Analyse audit outcomes and present findings, including recommendations for improvement.
- Compile detailed audit reports and contribute to ongoing process enhancements.
- Assist in the creation, review, and maintenance of company procedures, policies, and documentation.
- Lead and support Management Reviews to ensure they align with organisational goals and risk frameworks.
- Manage and review compliance registers (Legal and Environmental Aspects).
- Oversee the completion and timely submission of client pre-qualification and compliance questionnaires.
Key Attributes and Skills:
- IRCA-approved Internal Auditor qualification (ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001).
- Proven experience managing ISO and integrated management systems.
- Confident engaging with external auditors and managing audit processes.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Strong IT proficiency across multiple platforms.
- A valid UK driving licence β travel to construction sites and the regional office in Manchester is required.
- Previous experience in a construction or engineering environment is highly desirable.
