About You

You will be an experienced Planner with a minimum of five years' industry experience in a planning and/or operational management role, with demonstrable involvement in the successful delivery of fast track fit out projects and wider construction or housing schemes. Experience across both public and private sector contracts would be advantageous. You will possess a structured and methodical approach to programme development and control, coupled with excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage effectively with site teams, subcontractors, clients and senior stakeholders. • Breaking down project scope into clear tasks, activities, sequences and milestones aligned to the agreed construction methodology.
  • Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, Commercial Teams and Subcontractors to gather and validate planning information.
  • Monitoring site progress and updating programmes to accurately reflect actual performance and productivity.
  • Producing short term look ahead programmes (1 week, 2 week and 4 week) to support effective site delivery and coordination.
  • Identifying programme risks, delays, opportunities and constraints, and developing appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Analysing critical path activities and assessing the impact of change, variation, disruption or delay events.
  • Preparing clear and concise planning reports for internal management teams and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting resource and cost planning by aligning labour, plant and material requirements with programme demands.
  • Attending project meetings, progress reviews and site coordination meetings, providing planning insight to support decision making.
  • Ensuring compliance with company planning standards, governance procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Supporting tender submissions through the development of robust and deliverable tender programmes where required.
  • Promoting collaborative planning practices across operational and project delivery teams.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will be a disciplined, results driven Planner with a proven ability to contribute to the successful delivery of profitable, high quality construction projects. You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong understanding of programme management, critical path analysis and project controls.
  • Commercial awareness with an understanding of how programme performance impacts project costs, risk and profitability.
  • Experience in risk and opportunity management relating to programme development and control.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational and problem solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively.
  • A consistently high standard of Health & Safety awareness and commitment to safe project delivery.
