An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced People Business Partner to join a dynamic and evolving organisation on an initial 9-month fixed-term contract.
This role is ideally suited to a commercially focused HR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys partnering with leaders to deliver effective people solutions. Working as part of a collaborative People team, you will provide expert support across employee relations, organisational change, leadership development and strategic people initiatives.
There is potential for the contract to be extended, and the organisation offers a flexible hybrid working model.
The Role
As a trusted advisor to business leaders, you will play a key role in supporting organisational transformation while ensuring a positive employee experience and effective risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Organisational Change & Transformation
- Support the delivery of business transformation and organisational change initiatives.
- Partner with leaders to implement restructuring and change programmes while maintaining engagement and minimising risk.
- Develop and support communication and change management plans that drive positive outcomes for both the business and employees.
Employee Relations
- Manage a broad range of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance management, absence management and investigations.
- Provide practical and commercially focused advice on employment law, policies and people-related issues.
- Ensure employee relations cases are managed consistently, fairly and in line with company policies and legislation.
- Escalate complex matters where appropriate and collaborate with legal advisors when required.
Governance & Compliance
- Work closely with business and compliance stakeholders to ensure people-related governance and regulatory requirements are met.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of HR policies and best practice frameworks.
Leadership & Stakeholder Support
- Coach and support managers to build leadership capability and confidence.
- Design and deliver initiatives focused on performance improvement, employee engagement and management effectiveness.
- Act as a trusted business partner, supporting leaders through challenging people decisions and complex situations.
Strategic HR Partnership
- Contribute to talent development, succession planning and organisational effectiveness initiatives.
- Analyse employee relations trends and provide insight-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement across people processes and practices.
About You
- Proven experience working in a People Business Partner, HR Business Partner or Senior HR Advisor capacity.
- Strong employee relations expertise within a fast-paced and changing organisational environment.
- Experience supporting organisational change, restructures and consultation processes.
- A solid understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Strong coaching and influencing skills with the ability to support and challenge stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a pragmatic approach.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within a regulated environment.
- Exposure to large-scale transformation or change programmes.
