Anderson Knight is recruiting an Engineering Service Coordinator on behalf of a well-established facilities management business in Hillington. This is not a standard helpdesk role. This position sits at the heart of engineering operations ideal for someone who understands service environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently coordinate technical workloads while supporting engineers with the information and resources they need to deliver.

You will be responsible for planning engineering activity, supporting fault diagnosis, coordinating parts, and ensuring service delivery meets customer and contractual expectations.

Working Pattern

  • 40 hours per week on a rolling 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
  • Shifts: 08:00 - 18:30, 09:00 - 19:00
  • Salary – £28,500-£29,285 DOE

The Role

You will act as the operational link between customers, engineers, and internal teams — ensuring jobs are prioritised correctly, resources are deployed effectively, and service standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prioritise the daily workload of the engineering team
  • Plan and allocate engineering resources to meet service deadlines and SLAs
  • Use system data to support remote fault diagnosis and determine engineer attendance requirements
  • Monitor live jobs, identifying risks, delays, or service issues early
  • Keep customers informed on job progress and resolution timelines
  • Manage escalations professionally and drive issues through to completion
  • Ensure engineers follow procedures, compliance requirements, and quality standards
  • Understand customer contracts and support delivery against service level agreements
  • Produce scheduled and ad-hoc performance reports
  • Coordinate procurement of spare parts and schedule installation works
  • Work closely with management to flag operational issues and support solutions

What We’re Looking For

This role suits someone from a service coordination, engineering planning, or FM support environment, not a general call centre background.

  • Proven experience in a coordination or planning role (engineering/service environment highly desirable)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple live priorities
  • Confident working with systems and interpreting job or asset data
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable communicating with engineers, customers, and internal stakeholders
  • Calm under pressure and able to make practical, balanced decisions
  • Team-focused with a proactive, problem-solving approach

Why Apply?

  • Stable role within a well-established FM organisation
  • Varied position combining coordination, technical support, and operations
  • Opportunity to work closely with engineering teams and build sector knowledge
  • Competitive salary
  • Structured shift pattern offering regular days off

To apply, please submit your CV in confidence.
