This role is ideally suited to someone who is currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA, or is Qualified by Experience, and is looking to build on their existing accounting knowledge in a role that offers genuine career progression.

You'll work closely with colleagues across the business, contribute to key financial processes and play an important role in delivering accurate and meaningful financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Support month end processes, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any variances.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support cash flow reporting and provide analysis where required.
  • Prepare VAT returns and support statutory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the year end audit and statutory accounts process.
  • Produce financial analysis to support commercial and operational decision making.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business, providing financial support and insight.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in line with company policies and accounting standards.
  • The Ideal Candidate Would Possess
  • Currently studying towards ACCA/CIMA
  • Good understanding of management accounts and month end procedures.
  • Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting financial reporting.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence using finance systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a well organised approach to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
