Anderson Knight are looking for a Management Accountant to join our clients Operational Finance team in Glasgow. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the reporting process, delivering specialist services across a highly innovative industry and organisation. This is a role focused on innovation and enhancing the overall operation, a focused role which will see you acting as a trusted partner to the team, preparing management accounts, producing high-quality financial reporting and delivering meaningful insight into operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts to a high standard in line with the monthly timetable.
  • Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts across the full group.
  • Produce timely and accurate group consolidations, including IFRS journals.
  • Support the preparation of the monthly board pack, including detailed analysis and supporting data.
  • Assist with statutory audits and reviews.
  • Deliver key business variance analysis commentary and key metrics.
  • Support and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Communicate effectively across the business with operational, sales and other key budget holders.
  • Promote continuous improvement across business policies and processes, implementing positive change.
  • Support and mentor assistant accountants.
  • Support direct and indirect tax activities across the group.

About You

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA).
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong general IT capability.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Proactive mindset, with a drive for continuous process improvement.
