Anderson Knight are working in partnership with a leading Fabricarion/Manufacturing Business (Glasgow) As their Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce cost, and ensure high product quality. This role involves working closely with design, production, and quality teams to support new product introductions (NPI), continuous improvement initiatives, and troubleshooting of production issues. Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and improve their fabrication manufacturing processes and systems. • Analyze workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout for optimal efficiency. • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma). • Collaborate with product design teams for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input. • Develop and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). • Evaluate and select appropriate tools, equipment, and technology for manufacturing. • Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) for production issues. • Lead or support new product introduction (NPI) activities from prototype to full production. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. • Train production staff on new processes and equipment. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment. • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing simulation tools. • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
