Anderson Knight is delighted to be working in partnership with a leading organisation within the energy services sector, who are currently seeking an experienced HR & Payroll Advisor to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract.

The Role
As HR & Payroll Advisor, you will play an integral part in providing first-line HR advisory support to managers and employees across the business, with a particular focus on employee relations and the effective application of HR policies and procedures.
You will also provide support to the Payroll & Benefits function, ensuring smooth and accurate payroll delivery while maintaining compliance with employment legislation and company standards.
Working as part of a supportive HR team, you will contribute to a positive employee experience and help drive HR excellence across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees on a range of employee relations matters.
- Manage routine ER casework including performance, disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of HR policies and employment law.
- Support the HR Business Partner and wider HR team with day-to-day people queries.
- Provide holiday and absence cover for payroll delivery in partnership with external providers.
- Assist with payroll accuracy and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Deal with payroll-related enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Produce and maintain key HR metrics and reports – including headcount, turnover, absence and recruitment data.
- Maintain accurate HR and payroll records in line with GDPR.
- Support internal and external reporting requirements.
- Assist with end-to-end recruitment processes including job descriptions, interviews and contract preparation.
- Support onboarding activities to ensure a seamless experience for new starters.
- Contribute to HR projects, system improvements and wellbeing initiatives.
- Support benefits administration including schemes such as Cycle to Work.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and confident HR professional who has:
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, with exposure to employee relations and HR advisory work.
- Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Payroll experience or confidence supporting payroll processes.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capability to build relationships at all levels.
- Experience working with HR and payroll systems.
