An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Business Partner to join a leading organisation, to work across both England and Scotland. This role offers the chance to contribute to the development and implementation of effective HR strategies while partnering with senior managers to build organisational capability and drive workforce development. You will work closely with managers and stakeholders to shape HR initiatives that align with business objectives and improve overall people practices.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with senior managers and leaders to inform the HR strategy for each area of the business.
*
Identify key HR challenges and develop evidence-based HR solutions to address future workforce needs.
*
Partner with teams to create robust workforce development plans, using data to identify trends and areas of concern.
*
Assist in identifying and nurturing future leaders within the organisation, helping to build a strong leadership pipeline.
*
Lead HR projects such as acquisitions, TUPE transfers, restructures, and service closures.
*
Provide expert advice and support to managers on complex employee relations issues, including absence management, case investigations, and dispute resolution.
*
Act as the point of escalation for complex or high-risk HR issues and provide coaching on employee relations matters to ensure fair and consistent practices.
*
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with the organisation’s values and legal requirements.
*
Act as a subject matter expert in reviewing and improving HR policies and practices.
*
Work collaboratively with HR colleagues to deliver training on policy implementation and support HR projects that enhance employee wellbeing.
*
Stay up to date with current employment law and HR best practices, providing expert advice across the business.
*
Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion across the organisation and lead employee engagement initiatives.

Provide leadership and support in HR projects designed to enhance organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
Person Specification
*
CIPD Level 7 preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
*
Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar role, ideally within the third sector
*
Strong background in employee relations, including case management and investigations.
*
Demonstrable experience in HR project management, organisational development, and change management.
*
Experience in developing and implementing HR policies, initiatives, and training programs.
*
Ability to support the delivery of HR projects that enhance employee engagement and wellbeing.
Skills & Knowledge:
*
Strong understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
*
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
*
Experience using and analysing HR data to support decision-making and organisational effectiveness.
*
Proficiency in managing or administrating HR systems and reporting.
*
Travel across defined geographical areas in England and Scotland may be required.
*
Occasional overnight stays.
