Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting a Parts Assistant to join a busy and fast-paced team in Glasgow. This role would suit someone with an interest in machinery, vehicles, or technical equipment who enjoys working with customers and delivering excellent service. Working within the Parts Department, you will assist customers in identifying and sourcing the correct parts for servicing, repairs, and maintenance. You’ll work closely with internal departments while building strong relationships with both new and existing customers. This is a varied role that combines customer service, sales, stock control, and administration responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email, online platforms, and in person
- Identifying and supplying parts accurately and efficiently
- Processing customer collections and dispatches
- Promoting products and identifying sales opportunities
- Supporting sales campaigns and customer follow-ups
- Liaising with internal departments to meet customer requirements
- Receiving, organising, and managing stock deliveries
- Picking, packing, and storing parts and products
- Maintaining strong customer relationships and delivering high levels of service
- Assisting with invoicing, stock control, and general administration
- Supporting online sales and e-commerce activities where required
About You
- Previous experience within a parts, automotive, agricultural, plant, or similar environment
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A proactive and positive approach to work
- Confidence working in a fast-paced environment
- Good attention to detail
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- A friendly and professional manner
- Confidence promoting products and identifying customer needs
