Anderson Knight is delighted to be partnering our client for a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor to play a pivotal role in the UK’s energy transition sector.

Based in Glasgow, they are a global EPC Powerhouse, who are expanding their UK operations to align with their massive worldwide footprint.

Having recently secured major frameworks in Scotland, a growing pipeline of BESS and Substation projects in England, and several large-scale developments in Ireland, Our client are building a high performing specialist quantity Surveyor Projects team in Glasgow.

This role offers a unique mix of high-value project exposure and genuine room to grow.

Focused primarily on post-contract management under NEC forms of contract, you will maintain critical commercial information, manage subcontract packages, track project variations, and drive client compensation events to maximise planned gross profit.

Working side-by-side with our Division Commercial Manager you will be empowered to take as much commercial responsibility as you feel capable of.

The role involves a combination of post contract activities as main focus, with support on pre-contract duties to support your wider development in the Quantity Surveying profession.

  • Commercial & Contract Management (Post-Contract Focus)
  • Subcontract

Management: Allocate work to subcontractors, support drafting the subcontracts, value completed works, process payment applications, review programme submissions and manage monthly supplier KPI measurements.

  • Compensation Events & Variations: Identify, record, and evaluate variations and Client Compensation Events (NEC contracts) to safeguard planned project margins.
  • Cost Control & CVRs: Provide robust, timely, and accurate cost/value data at both project and regional levels, monitoring progress against project schedules.
  • Cost Analysis & Value Management: Perform risk and value management, cost analysis, and project cost controls throughout the lifecycle.
  • Contract Claims: Assist with advice on contractual claims and ensure full compliance with contractual requirements. Pre-Contract & Strategic Support (Development)
  • Assist with pre-contract support and costings for larger tenders, preparing documentation and bills of quantities to build your pre-contract experience.

Identification: Analyse and develop responses to commercial risks during early-stage contract reviews.
