Anderson Knight are delighted to be partnering with our client, a market leading business, for the appointment of a Financial Controller. This is a critical, operational appointment, reporting directly to the Managing Director.

You will work closely with key stakeholders, playing a key role in driving growth and profitability by identifying and driving change initiatives whilst managing the day to day of the Finance function to add value and enhance performance.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
* Oversee and manage daily finance functions, including Payroll, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control
* Prepare, consolidate and present monthly management accounts to senior leadership
* Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations including VAT, and PAYE reporting
* Perform regular Balance Sheet and Intercompany reconciliations
* Oversee payroll
* Lead cash flow forecasting and day-to-day cash management
* Continuous improvement of system and process controls
* Partner with Commercial Teams to align financial operations with business goals
* Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
* Liaise with external Auditors
* Carry out additional ad hoc tasks and projects as required
* Coach and develop junior members
You’ll be a proactive finance professional with a solid understanding of core finance processes and regulatory compliance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally are essential, as is a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
The main candidate will be:
· Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA)
· Strong operational experience including Payroll
· Strong interpersonal skills, comfortable working in a close knit team.
· Experience leading a small finance team
· Resilient and confident working in a fast paced environment
· Experience of Sage (desirable)
To succeed in this role you will need excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders, both financial and non financial.
