Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an ambitious and commercially focused Financial Analyst to join a high-performing finance team based in Hamilton.
Operating within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to develop their analytical and commercial finance skills within a dynamic, fast-paced business.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in providing accurate financial analysis, supporting strategic decision-making and delivering valuable commercial insight across the business.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interpreting financial data, identifying trends and partnering with operational teams to drive business performance.
Key
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse weekly and monthly financial performance reports, highlighting key trends and variances.
- Deliver detailed sales, margin and profitability analysis to support commercial decision-making.
- Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process, ensuring accurate and timely financial projections.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities, including financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist in maintaining strong financial controls.
- Develop financial models and reporting tools to improve business insight and forecasting accuracy.
- Partner with operational, commercial and supply chain teams to provide financial support and performance analysis.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting, inventory analysis and working capital management.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping streamline reporting processes and enhance financial systems.

Possess
- Previous experience in a Financial Analyst, Commercial Analyst or similar finance role.
- Actively studying towards or fully qualified in ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent professional accounting qualification (preferred).
- Experience working within an FMCG, manufacturing or high-volume commercial environment would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and communicate findings clearly.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across multiple departments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
