Anderson Knight is delighted to be recruiting for a Customer Account Specialist on behalf of a well-established organisation. This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, is confident navigating sensitive conversations, and thrives in a problem-solving environment. Whether you already have experience in collections or financial services, or you’re bringing strong customer service experience and looking to develop in a new sector, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll play a key role in supporting customers experiencing financial difficulties, helping them find manageable solutions while delivering a high standard of customer care.
Location: Finnieston (Hybrid working available following training and probation)
Salary: £26,000
Hours: 35 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts with 1 in 4 weekends (day off in lieu provided)
- 8:00am – 4:00pm (3 weeks)
- 12:00pm – 8:00pm (1 week)
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers who have fallen behind on payments, ensuring all conversations are handled professionally, respectfully, and with empathy.
- Manage both inbound and outbound customer calls to understand individual circumstances and agree suitable repayment arrangements.
- Conduct income and expenditure assessments to identify realistic and sustainable solutions.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions and agreed outcomes.
- Work towards individual and team performance objectives while ensuring fair and positive customer outcomes.
- Deliver excellent customer service while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience within customer service, account management, or a telephone-based role.
- Collections or financial services experience would be advantageous, though not essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage challenging or sensitive conversations confidently.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow established processes.
- A positive, resilient attitude and willingness to learn and develop.
