Anderson Knight Recruitment are working with a growing UK-based manufacturing business that is investing heavily in its people, processes and future capability. Operating within a technical and fast-moving environment, the organisation is continuing to expand and is looking for a Training Lead to help strengthen its learning and development approach. The Role

As Training Lead, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery and development of training across the business. Working closely with teams across manufacturing, engineering and operations, you will identify learning requirements, coordinate training activity and help ensure employees have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles. This role will suit someone who enjoys a hands-on training position and is comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will play an important part in creating a consistent approach to training, improving capability across the workforce and supporting a positive learning culture. Reporting into HR, you will work across the organisation to coordinate internal and external training initiatives, maintain accurate records and support the ongoing development of employees. As the business continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the training function and take ownership of wider learning and development initiatives over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate training activities across the business
  • Work with managers and teams to understand development needs and identify suitable learning solutions
  • Support the creation and delivery of training materials and programmes
  • Coordinate training schedules, sessions and external provider arrangements
  • Maintain training records, systems and reporting information
  • Deliver workshops and training sessions where required
  • Partner with subject matter experts to develop technical learning content
  • Review the effectiveness of training activity and identify improvements
  • Encourage a culture of ongoing learning and development
  • Keep informed of current approaches and best practice within learning and development

About You

We are looking for someone who is passionate about helping people develop and who enjoys working in a practical, operational environment. You may have experience within:

  • A Training Lead, Learning & Development, Training Coordinator or similar role
  • A manufacturing, engineering, production or technical setting
  • Designing and delivering training programmes for different audiences
  • Creating learning materials and supporting technical training delivery
  • Managing training administration, records and reporting
  • Working with internal stakeholders and external training providers

You will be confident communicating with people at all levels, highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment. A background in Learning & Development, HR, Education, Engineering or a related discipline would be beneficial. Relevant training qualifications such as CIPD or equivalent would also be advantageous.
