About the Role:
Anderson Knight is excited to partner with a respected client in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Credit Controller for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic finance team, helping to maintain smooth financial operations while working in a supportive and growth-focused environment.
As the Credit Controller, you will play a vital role in managing a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collections, and resolving any issues that arise. The role is office-based, offering a chance to work closely with the team and contribute to the success of the finance function during this contract period.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding debts
*
Monitor and maintain a healthy cash flow by proactively chasing overdue accounts
*
Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams to resolve disputes and queries efficiently
*
Prepare and send out accurate statements and reminders to customers
*
Maintain up-to-date records of credit control activity
*
Process payments and allocate them to the correct accounts
*
Handle customer queries and ensure high levels of customer service are maintained
*
Liaise with other departments to resolve credit issues and escalate where necessary
*
Assist with month-end reporting and reconciliation
Requirements:

Previous experience in credit control or a similar role, ideally within a fast-paced environment

Strong communication and negotiation skills
