Anderson Knight are currently recruiting a Conveyancing Secretary to assist a legal firm in South Lanarkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised, detail-oriented individual with a background in property law or legal administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day support to conveyancers and solicitors, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.
  • Document Preparation: Draft, format, and proofread conveyancing documents, such as contracts, transfer deeds, and property forms.
  • Client Liaison: Communicate with clients, estate agents, and other parties involved in the property transaction to arrange meetings and provide updates.
  • File Management: Organize and maintain both electronic and paper files for property transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping and easy access to documents.
  • Mail and Correspondence: Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including legal letters, emails, and phone calls.
  • Filing and Administration: Keep track of key dates and deadlines in property transactions, including completions, exchanges, and client meetings.
  • General Office Support: Assist with general office duties such as ordering supplies, maintaining office organization, and other clerical tasks as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Conveyancing Secretary or in a similar administrative role within a law firm or legal department.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
