Reporting to the Head of Internal Control, Compliance & Legal, the Oversight Analyst will ensure that the oversight framework for the IT department is effective and adhered to across both first and second-line teams. The role also covers the Strategic Development Team and involves mapping and testing controls for key IT processes and developments.
This position requires close collaboration with the business to enhance processes and procedures while maintaining high standards of compliance and performance. It focuses on continuous improvement, ensuring internal processes, procedures, and regulatory responsibilities are met, and identifying opportunities to enhance service standards towards a ‘best in class’ level.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain an effective oversight framework for all Collections & Recoveries activity, including interactions through telephony, written, email, and digital channels.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, processes, and procedures referencing Consumer Duty, CONC, TCF Principles, and GDPR.
- Work with IT to review data, ensuring IT processes deliver good customer outcomes and identifying/remediating potential risks.
- Undertake monthly monitoring and control testing.
- Provide regular and documented feedback to the Head of Internal Control, Compliance & Legal, and relevant departments on monitoring and oversight performance.
- Work with the Compliance Team to ensure the oversight framework meets organisational expectations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across relevant business areas.
- Ensure Senior Management Team members are informed of findings and escalate issues appropriately.
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date knowledge of the motor finance industry, company products, processes, and scorecard updates.
- Utilise operational tools and Management Information (MI) to identify areas for oversight enhancement, tailoring monitoring activity based on transactional data.
Essential Experience
- Educated to Higher / A-Level standard.
- IT oversight experience preferred (experience in the motor finance sector advantageous but not essential).
- Proven experience in Quality & Assurance roles.
- Strong knowledge of CONC, TCF Principles, and GDPR.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
