Anderson Knight is recruiting a highly organised and proactive Business Support Executive to join our client on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a pivotal role that sits at the heart of the organisation, focused on providing high-level executive and operational support to senior leadership while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business. You will work closely with the CEO, COO and CFO, acting as a trusted point of contact and supporting key meetings, events and business activities.
Location: Glasgow West End (Hybrid – 1 day per week from home)
Hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 + retention/completion bonus
Start Date: May 2026
This is a varied and fast-paced position where no two days are the same. You will play a central role in supporting senior leaders, coordinating key activities and ensuring operational processes run efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a first point of contact, dealing with correspondence and phone calls
- Proactively manage and coordinate diaries for the CEO/COO/CFO, prioritising and arranging internal and external meetings and ensuring briefing papers are prepared
- Plan and organise travel and accommodation when required
- Provide support for Board of Director meetings, ensuring meetings are properly arranged and serviced
- Support the CEO/COO/CFO in keeping the Board informed about the work of the organisation and supporting director training and induction
- Service Senior Management Team meetings by drafting and collating papers and reports, preparing agendas, taking minutes and following up on action points
- Plan and manage key organisational events such as UK Management Meetings, Group Forums and other staff events
- Liaise with the landlord regarding routine maintenance, manage emergency repairs and coordinate with external contractors
- Monitor and manage stock of office supplies and equipment maintenance
- Handle general facilities requests from staff
- Produce the annual shareholder newsletter
- Update website content across Group websites
- Undertake any other appropriate duties as required to support the Chief Executive in fulfilling their role
- Carry out all duties with complete discretion and a high regard for confidentiality
- Perform any other duties relevant to the needs of the organisation as directed
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Experienced in senior-level executive or business support roles
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders
- A strong communicator with excellent written skills
- Able to manage multiple priorities and work proactively
