We are working with a highly successful secondary school in Winchester to recruit a Community & Business Development Officer. This is a varied and rewarding role combining relationship-building, income generation, and community engagement.

This position is ideal for someone with a background in sales, partnerships, or administration, who enjoys building relationships and spotting opportunities to generate income and grow engagement.

The role includes:

  • Driving income through sponsorship, fundraising, and partnership activity
  • Developing and expanding the school's lettings programme
  • Building relationships with local businesses, alumni, and community groups
  • Promoting opportunities for external organisations to engage with the school
  • Managing stakeholder data and maintaining accurate records
  • Supporting marketing, PR, and communications activity
  • Organising events and engagement opportunities (some evenings/weekends)
  • Producing reports on income and engagement for senior leadership

What we are looking for:

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities

Working pattern:

Monday-Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Friday: 8:30am - 4:00pm

Term-time plus 5 additional weeks
