We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Winchester to recruit a School Receptionist to join their busy front-of-house team. This role is the first point of contact for visitors, parents and students, so it requires a friendly, professional and organised individual. This is a great opportunity for an experienced School Receptionist or Administrator looking for a term-time role with structure, variety and a strong team environment.
The School Receptionist role includes:
- Acting as the first point of contact for visitors, parents and pupils
- Managing incoming calls and responding to queries
- Handling the main school inbox and directing enquiries appropriately
- Signing visitors in and out in line with safeguarding procedures
- Supporting general admin tasks across the school office
- Assisting with student queries and day-to-day school operations
What we are looking for:
- Previous experience in a receptionist or front-of-house role (school experience desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident IT skills (Microsoft Office and school systems beneficial)
- Calm, professional manner in a busy environment
- A team player with a positive and approachable attitude
Working hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm (45-minute unpaid break) Total: 37.5 hours per week
