We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established independent school for a Data Management Assistant to join their busy Data team on a temporary basis for approximately six months. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong data or MIS experience — ideally gained in an education setting — to work closely with the school's Data Manager and Data Migration Specialist, resolving first-line data queries and supporting the smooth running of the school's information systems.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working alongside the Data Manager and Data Migration Specialist to resolve first-line data tickets
  • Maintaining and updating records held within the school's MIS system (Veracross/Schoolbase)
  • Using other education systems, such as CPOMS, as part of day-to-day data management
  • Building strong working relationships with colleagues across the wider staff team
  • Supporting general data administration tasks as required by the department
  • Escalating more complex queries to the Data Manager where appropriate

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience using an MIS system (Veracross, Schoolbase, iSAMS, SIMS or similar) is beneficial
  • Experience working in an education setting is advantageous but not essential
  • A confident, personable communicator who builds relationships easily
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to data accuracy
  • Comfortable working full-time in an office-based role
  • Able to pass a DBS check and other pre-employment checks required to work in a school

Why apply?

  • Full-time, temporary role
  • Supportive team environment within a well-regarded school
  • Great opportunity to build experience in education data management
  • Competitive rate of pay
