Groundskeeper – Independent School (Guildford Area)

A prestigious independent school near Guildford is looking for a proactive and skilled Groundskeeper to join their Estates team as soon as possible. This is a temporary role to start with, with the opportunity to apply for a permanent contract in the near future.
The role of Groundskeeper will involve:

• Maintaining and preparing high-quality sports pitches for Rugby, Football, and Cricket
• Caring for gardens and landscaped areas across both prep and senior school sites
• Supporting seasonal pitch changes and general ground upkeep
• Operating and maintaining grounds machinery
• Assisting with the supervision of grounds-related external contractors

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous gardening or grounds maintenance experience
• Is enthusiastic about working outdoors in all weathers
• Holds a full UK driving licence (or is willing to obtain one)
• Can work independently with a positive, can-do attitude
• Communicates well and thrives as part of a team

Desirable but not essential:

• Qualifications related to grounds work
• Experience maintaining school or sports grounds
• Knowledge of groundskeeping equipment maintenance
