Part-Time HR & People Manager (30 hours) – Hybrid

Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in a standalone role and loves shaping people culture within a creative SME? Our client — a respected creative consultancy working with major global entertainment brands — is expanding and hiring a part time HR & People Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the HR function and make a real impact in a friendly, collaborative business. 2 days in Hammersmith office, 2 days WFH (also the option to do 5 x short days if preferred).
The Role
As the company's dedicated HR professional, you'll manage the full employee life cycle, support managers, maintain HR processes, and help shape a positive workplace culture. You'll partner closely with directors and the Operations team, reporting to the MD, bringing fresh ideas and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for all HR queries
- Build strong relationships with directors, managers, and teams
- Keep policies and handbooks up to date and legally compliant
- Deliver HR updates and staff training where relevant
- Support recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and right-to-work checks
- Maintain the HR system and accurate employee records
- Lead onboarding/offboarding processes, including exit interviews
- Coach managers on people issues and attend manager meetings
- Uphold confidentiality and support HR projects as the role grows
Requirements
- UK HR experience within a non-corporate SME (standalone experience essential). Creative industry experience would be an advantage but not essential.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident – demonstrate collaboration.
- CIPD (or studying) but not essential
- Highly organised, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Positive, solutions-focused, and committed to developing the role over time.
