I'm recruiting a part-qualified Finance Manager / Management Accountant for a fast-growing, global business in Buntingford. This is a genuinely hands-on role with real ownership, perfect if you’re studying towards your qualification and want to learn at pace. The company has grown rapidly across multiple countries and there's plenty of room to develop as they continue to expand.
What you'll be doing:
- Owning the end-to-end bookkeeping for several entities within the group, including brand new ones
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts and the accounts package for group consolidation
- Reviewing accounts payable and receivable for accuracy and completeness
- Monthly and quarterly reconciliations: balance sheet, bank, intercompany, prepayments, accruals and control accounts, plus processing general ledger journals
- Responsibility for VAT submissions
- Ensuring compliance with local tax laws, statutory requirements and internal controls
- Supporting the finance team on ad hoc projects, such as CIS reconciliation and championing e-invoicing across group entities
Requirements:
- Part-qualified accountant (AAT, ACCA, ACA, QBE or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years' accounting experience
- Experience working with European entities advantageous
- Experience with VAT returns and trial balance preparation
- Someone who can work at pace, adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-moving environment
- UK-based with solid UK accounting experience and a stable work history

- It's a temp-to-perm role in a rapidly growing global business, with strong opportunities to progress
- Full-time preferred, but we'd love to hear from an excellent candidate who can only do part-time

- Buntingford isn't on a trainline, so you'll need to be a happy driver. It's an easy drive from Hertford, Ware, Stevenage, Royston, Bishop's Stortford and over towards Cambridge.
