Buntingford, United Kingdom

Office based, 5 days per week

Full time

No work visa sponsorship is available for this role. Only applicants with the existing right to work in the UK will be considered.

Our client is a fast growing, global business based in Buntingford, and they need an HR Business Partner who really knows their way around employee relations. This isn't a role for someone who wants to dip a toe into ER now and then. You'll be in it every day, handling disciplinaries, grievances, capability and performance cases, and giving managers advice they can actually trust and act on. This is a proper generalist HRBP role with international reach. The business operates across multiple countries, so you'll be supporting compliance with employment law in different jurisdictions as well as the UK side. You won't be sat behind a desk pushing paperwork either, you'll be building relationships with stakeholders, coaching managers, and getting stuck into HR projects around organisational change, systems and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding through to offboarding
  • Leading on ER casework, disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management
  • Advising managers on employment law and best practice, and not just reciting policy at them
  • Creating and maintaining HR policies and documentation that are actually fit for purpose
  • Supporting international employment compliance across multiple regions
  • Getting involved in HR projects, restructures, acquisitions and business change
  • Reporting into the Head of HR with useful insight, not just numbers for the sake of it

Requirements

  • Solid UK experience as an HR Business Partner, Senior ER Specialist or HR Manager in a fast paced environment, ideally 5 years plus specifically in employee relations
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and how to apply it, not just recite it
  • Confidence to challenge and influence at senior level
  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Good judgement, discretion, and the ability to stay calm when a case gets messy

This is a fully office based role in Buntingford, 5 days a week, so you'll need to be happy with the commute or already local.

Benefits

  • Free parking
  • Private medical insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Sick pay
  • Referral programme
