We’re partnering with Activate, the placemaking and destination marketing consultancy within Workman LLP, to appoint a Marketing Account Manager on a 12-month maternity cover contract. As an Account Manager, you would work across a mixed portfolio of business parks, retail parks, shopping centres and office-led mixed-use destinations across the UK. This is a hands-on, agency-side account management role, managing multiple assets rather than being tied to a single asset or destination.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Managing and delivering integrated marketing, events and placemaking activity across a portfolio of high-profile commercial destinations
- Owning client relationships, acting as a confident and credible point of contact
- Producing and implementing destination marketing strategies that drive footfall, dwell time and engagement
- Working closely with on-site teams, tenants, property managers and internal creative teams
- Balancing regular UK travel with delivery, planning and reporting
- Managing budgets, annual plans and campaign performance
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to wider placemaking and growth projects
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has agency-side experience managing multiple accounts or assets
- Is confident, organised and comfortable juggling travel, clients and deadlines
- Has worked in property, placemaking, retail marketing, events or a client-facing marketing agency
- Communicates with gravitas and credibility at client level
- Is commercially aware, budget-savvy and delivery-focused
- Brings energy, initiative and enjoys working in a fast-growing, collaborative team
Why Activate?
- Part of Workman LLP, the UK’s leading independent commercial property management specialist
- A rapidly growing marketing agency, doubling in size and ambition
- Exposure to a diverse, interesting portfolio rather than one location
- Hybrid working, flexibility and a supportive, high-performing team culture
- Genuine scope for the role to become permanent as the business continues to grow
Location: Manchester (hybrid, with regular site travel)
Contract: 12-month maternity cover
