Head of Data Centres – Director (Data Centre Division)
Location: UK Hybrid
Reports to: Board of Directors
Salary: Competitive base plus bonus and long-term incentives

I am working with a well established consultancy who are expanding on their existing footprint within the mission-critical data centre sector. Backed by strategic investment and a robust multi-disciplinary practice, they’re ideally positioned to capitalise on the booming demand in digital infrastructure.
Your Role
As Head of Data Centres, you'll lead, build, and shape their data centre consultancy division, driving strategic growth, financial performance, project excellence, and team development.
Sales & Business Development
- Cultivate and maintain strong, proactive client relationships.
- Host and engage with clients and key stakeholders.
- Negotiate fee structures, define deliverables and policy direction.
- Lead proposal presentations, coordinating across disciplines.
- Act as Project Director for third-party (non-specialist) disciplines.
- Ensure timely invoicing and drive new sales.
- Achieve all projects’ profit targets; and post-project client reviews.
- Expand our practice through marketing, events, and business development initiatives.
Operational Leadership & Delivery
- Manage project resourcing, quality, and technical compliance.
- Sign off on all deliverables and reports.
- Conduct post-contract completion reviews.
- Attend client and policy-setting meetings; ensure deadlines and scopes are monitored and managed.
Financial Performance & Board Reporting
- Own and manage monthly project job costing, profit, and sales figures.
- Deliver a quarterly written board report, articulating performance, risks, opportunities, and action plans.
About You
- Experience: 10 years in consultancy focused on data centres or mission-critical projects in either a commercial or project management based role
- Skills: Expertise in project delivery, financial oversight, and technical compliance.
- Leadership: Proven people management, commercial acumen, and strategic vision.
- Relationships: Skilled at building rapport with clients and internal teams.
