Tender Specialist Industry: Construction Contract Type: Permanent / Freelance Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 plus package Summary We are seeking Tender Specialist with 3–7 years of experience in the construction or engineering sector to support our Business Development Director. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying opportunities, preparing high-quality tender submissions, and supporting bid strategies across various projects. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can manage the end-to-end tender process, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal standards. The Tender Specialist will collaborate closely with commercial, technical, and project teams to gather necessary information, develop compelling proposals, and contribute to winning new business. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines are essential. Key Responsibilities Identify and evaluate tender opportunities within the construction or engineering sectors. Prepare, compile, and submit high-quality tender documents in line with client and company requirements. Support the Business Development Director in developing bid strategies and pricing models. Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather technical, commercial, and legal information. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract conditions, and regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of tender submissions and outcomes for reporting and continuous improvement. Monitor and track tender progress, deadlines, and feedback to inform future bids. Assist in post-tender clarifications and negotiations as required. Required Skills High-level written and spoken proficiency in English. 3–7 years’ experience in tender preparation within construction or engineering sectors. Strong understanding of tendering processes and procurement regulations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality documentation. Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams. Strong organisational and time management skills. Commercial awareness and understanding of contract terms. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
