🌍 About the Role
I’m recruiting a Structural Engineer for a growing civil and structural engineering contractor based in Leicester, delivering reinforced concrete, infrastructure and water-sector projects across the Midlands and wider UK.
You’ll play a hands-on role in structural design, technical delivery, and supporting construction teams on a range of projects including RC structures, foundations, retaining walls, highways structures and specialist civils works.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a blend of design, site interaction and multi-disciplinary coordination.
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structural analysis and detailed design, primarily in reinforced concrete and steel.
- Produce drawings, calculations, specifications and technical reports for project stages from concept to AFC.
- Assist with temporary works input, foundation design, retaining structures and other civils-related elements.
- Liaise with site teams, attend inspections, review as-built information and support construction queries.
- Ensure designs comply with Eurocodes, client standards and CDM requirements.
- Work closely with civil, mechanical and project management teams to ensure coordinated solutions.
- Provide technical support to junior engineers and technicians when required.
💡 About You
- Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (MEng/BEng).
- Experience delivering structural designs within contractor, consultancy or design & build environments.
- Strong background in reinforced concrete design and structural principles.
- Competent with relevant software (AutoCAD, structural analysis packages).
- Comfortable working with site/construction teams and resolving technical queries.
- Enthusiastic, professional and committed to continuous learning.
- Full UK driving licence.
