We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a Tier 1 design and build contractor’s Commercial team based in East Manchester. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will take full responsibility for the commercial management of projects, ensuring effective cost control and contractual compliance throughout all project stages. Your role will involve managing quantity surveying duties for projects and work packages.

Duties Include:

  • Liaising with design, construction, and supply chain teams to capture, analyse, and control costs.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to meet business requirements and manage main contracts, including issuing subcontract documentation and overseeing subcontractor performance.
  • Preparation and agreement of payment applications, project cost/value reports, budgets, and forecasts.

Skills:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or MEICA sectors
  • NEC3/NEC4 contract experience
  • Quantity surveying and commercial management of projects and work packages
