Position Quantity Surveyor Rail Asset Maintenance (Minor Works) Location Barnsley, South Yorkshire Overview This role operates within a dynamic and fast-paced environment focused on rail maintenance and asset management within a major framework. This business unit specializes in small-scale maintenance projects, both reactive and planned, that support the rail networks integrity. Projects vary in scope and value, including but not limited to repairs and maintenance for bridges, tunnels, structures, stations, embankments, flood and weather damage, signage, de-vegetation, fencing, and handrails. Role Summary The Quantity Surveyor will take on commercial responsibilities for various Design, Culverts, and Building/Civils Asset Management projects within the Asset Management framework. Projects typically range from £5,000 to £2 million in value. Key Responsibilities Present applications for payment in a timely manner to ensure adherence to contractual entitlements.
