My client one of the UKs largest Facilities Management companies in the UK are looking for a Plumber/Mechanical Engineer in the London area. Responsibilities include: To carry out reactive maintenance repairs across site. To inspect the condition of services and proactively deal with repairs as required and/or requested by management. To quote for parts and equipment necessary for individual tasks. Always working to recognised industry standards. Logical thinker in fault finding situations. To undertake training as required to perform the duties of the role, including health and safety courses and further trade development, to maintain current knowledge and professional qualifications (Continued Professional Development). To assist other trades as/when required. To undertake any other duties as directed by Managers within the remit of the role. To update/close completed Reactive & PPM tasks on the clients Corrigo system. Ensure engineering standards are maintained to maximise efficient operation and reliability of plant. To ensure company QA and site procedures are adhered to in all aspects. To ensure that both Client and Integral’s Health and Safety procedures are always followed. Keep and maintain all company issued tools in a safe and working condition. To carry out plumbing tasks, such as toilet, urinals and sink repair and replacement, tap and blending valve replacement, fault finding and repair on sensor taps, instantaneous water heaters, HW calorifiers, pipework repair and replacement, pump and valve replacement, , lagging repair and replacement, unblocking of pipework, traps and toilets, toilet/sink unblocking, macerator checks, immersion heater replacement. Carry out PPM tasks, such as, pump checks, TMV service, tap/outlet temperature testing and flushing, instantaneous water heater servicing. Provide detailed and accurate reports for any remedial works required. Updating of on-site logbooks for compliance purposes. Completion of any certificates or documentation for works completed. Complete on-site Method Statements and Risk Assessments as necessary. This job description sets out the main duties of the post at the date it was completed. Such duties may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the post or the level of responsibility entailed. Essential Qualifications & Experience C&G:6035 Level 3 / NVQ Level3 Diploma in Plumbing studies or other recognised qualification or apprenticeship. Extensive Knowledge of Commercial Plumbing Systems. Extensive Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations. BPEC Water Supply (Water fittings) Regs:1999. Legionella / L8 Qualification. Ability to act on own initiative. Smart appearance, presentable. Good written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working within a team environment. Able to contribute to the team’s success whilst willingly following instructions. Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised. Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements, willing to accept change.# This is a temporary role for a minimum of one month, which is likely to be extended.
