Estimator Yorkshire
Morson Edge are currently supporting a leading Tier 1 main contractor with the appointment of an Estimator to join their established pre-construction team.
This is a permanent opportunity working across a strong pipeline of major construction projects.
The role
As an Estimator, you will play a key role in preparing competitive and commercially robust tenders, working closely with the wider pre-construction team and supply chain.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates and tender submissions
- Review drawings, specifications and tender documentation
- Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations
- Produce accurate pricing and cost information
- Liaise with the supply chain throughout the tender process
- Support the preparation of competitive bids
- Assist with the successful handover of projects into delivery
What we are looking for
- Previous estimating experience within a main contractor environment
- Strong understanding of building construction and the tender process
- Experience preparing tenders for construction projects
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to analyse drawings, specifications and supply-chain returns
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
