Morson Edge are currently recruiting for experienced Steel Fixers on behalf of reputable civils and construction contractors across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on major infrastructure and reinforced concrete projects.

Duties:

  • Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings
  • Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement
  • Installing mesh, cages and prefabricated reinforcement units
  • Working alongside shuttering carpenters and concrete gangs
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification
  • Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS Card
  • Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Own tools and PPE
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience on RC Frame or heavy civils projects
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CPCS/NPORS plant tickets
  • Confined Space or EUSR
