Morson Edge are currently recruiting for experienced Steel Fixers on behalf of reputable civils and construction contractors across the North West. This is an excellent opportunity to secure long-term work on major infrastructure and reinforced concrete projects.
Duties:
- Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings
- Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement
- Installing mesh, cages and prefabricated reinforcement units
- Working alongside shuttering carpenters and concrete gangs
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to specification
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS Card
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Own tools and PPE
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Experience on RC Frame or heavy civils projects
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CPCS/NPORS plant tickets
- Confined Space or EUSR
