Morson Edge are working with a leading employee-owned architectural practice to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing Manchester studio. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning multidisciplinary practice delivering projects across the education, technology and defence sectors. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll play a key role in the technical delivery of complex projects while leading project teams, mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the successful delivery of high-quality buildings. The Opportunity

We're looking to speak with experienced Senior Architectural Technologists who have strong technical expertise, excellent Revit skills and a proven track record of delivering projects through the technical design and construction stages. You'll take responsibility for coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, producing detailed technical information and specifications, while supporting the development of junior team members and maintaining strong client relationships throughout project delivery. This role offers the opportunity to work on technically challenging projects across a range of sectors within an established and highly respected architectural practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of architectural projects from design through to construction.
  • Produce and coordinate detailed technical drawings, specifications and construction information.
  • Manage and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Develop technical solutions and detailed design proposals.
  • Prepare and review project specifications using NBS Chorus.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, statutory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor project programmes, budgets and financial performance.
  • Mentor and support junior team members.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants and contractors throughout project delivery.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of technical delivery across the practice.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Degree or HND in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
  • CIAT accredited with a minimum of five years' experience in a similar Senior Technologist role.
  • Proven experience delivering projects within a UK architectural practice.
  • Excellent Revit proficiency.
  • Strong specification writing experience.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Strong technical detailing and construction knowledge.
  • Experience producing and managing technical design information.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to lead projects and mentor junior colleagues.

Desirable Experience

  • Working knowledge of NBS Chorus.
  • Experience within the education, technology or defence sectors.
  • Experience monitoring project financial performance.
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and construction standards.
  • Experience delivering technically complex projects.
