Morson Edge are working with a leading employee-owned architectural practice to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist to join their growing London studio. This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning multidisciplinary practice with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a wide range of sectors.

Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll lead the technical delivery of complex schemes while mentoring junior colleagues and contributing to the delivery of innovative, sustainable buildings. The Opportunity

We're looking to speak with experienced Senior Architectural Technologists who have a proven track record of delivering large, technically complex projects through the detailed design and construction stages. You'll take ownership of multiple projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing technical delivery and ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards. This role combines technical leadership, project management, client engagement and team mentoring, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their leadership career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of architectural projects from detailed design through to completion.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring delivery to programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Produce and review technical drawings, specifications and construction information.
  • Coordinate architects, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Prepare full project specifications and oversee technical documentation.
  • Manage project programmes, fees and commercial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project delivery.
  • Mentor and support junior team members, delegating work where appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, statutory requirements and industry standards.
  • Contribute to business development activities and support the winning of new work.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience as an Architectural Technologist within a UK architectural practice.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale projects (£20m+ desirable).
  • Strong technical knowledge across detailed design and construction stages.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK Building Regulations and construction detailing.
  • Strong specification writing experience.
  • Advanced Revit proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to manage workloads independently while mentoring junior colleagues.

Desirable Experience

  • Refurbishment and retrofit project experience.
  • Heritage building experience.
  • Education or healthcare sector experience.
  • Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) knowledge.
  • Experience using NBS Chorus.
  • Knowledge of Dynamo scripting.
  • Experience managing outsourced technical delivery teams.
  • Passion for sustainable and net zero carbon design.
