Morson Edge are working with a tier 1 contractor who are seeking a Building Services Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Building Services division.
Location - London
Salary - £50k to £58k + Bens
What you will be doing:
- Supporting the mechanical (HVAC) design and delivery of building services projects in line with company standards, client requirements and regulations
- Producing concept and detailed mechanical designs, cost estimates and technical input for tenders
- Developing designs across heating, cooling, ventilation and general HVAC systems
- Preparing mechanical calculations using both manual and software-based methods
- Producing design drawings and documentation in line with RIBA stages and the BG6 framework (AutoCAD essential)
- Supporting controls and BMS integration, liaising with controls specialists where required
- Assisting with site surveys, inspections and condition / snagging reports
- Attending design and project meetings, providing technical input and progress updates
- Supporting projects during construction and resolving technical queries as they arise
- Contributing to quality reviews and the application of mechanical design standards
About You:
- Experience working in a fast paced, multi site engineering or construction environment
- Working towards or holding professional registration (e.g. CIBSE or IET)
- A good working knowledge of:
- CIBSE Guides
- CDM Regulations
- British Standards
- Revit / BIM Standards (UK)
- RIBA or BG6 Design Frameworks
- AutoCAD
- Amtech
- Dialux or Relux
