We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join a leading social housing provider in Croydon.
This is a varied role where you will be responsible for maintaining communal areas, carrying out general caretaking duties, and supporting housing teams with day-to-day tasks. A company vehicle will be provided, and you will be required to drive between sites and complete errands as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of communal areas.
- Carrying out basic health and safety checks.
- Reporting maintenance issues and repairs.
- Assisting with property inspections and access arrangements.
- Removing fly-tipping and litter from communal spaces where required.
- Transporting materials, equipment, and documents between sites.
- Running errands on behalf of the housing team using a company vehicle.
- Providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or similar role preferred.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
- Reliable, organised, and proactive approach to work.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Monday to Friday working pattern.
