We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join a leading social housing provider in Croydon.

This is a varied role where you will be responsible for maintaining communal areas, carrying out general caretaking duties, and supporting housing teams with day-to-day tasks. A company vehicle will be provided, and you will be required to drive between sites and complete errands as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of communal areas.
  • Carrying out basic health and safety checks.
  • Reporting maintenance issues and repairs.
  • Assisting with property inspections and access arrangements.
  • Removing fly-tipping and litter from communal spaces where required.
  • Transporting materials, equipment, and documents between sites.
  • Running errands on behalf of the housing team using a company vehicle.
  • Providing excellent customer service to residents and visitors.
Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
  • Previous experience in a caretaking, facilities, maintenance, or similar role preferred.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive approach to work.
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
