Senior Health and Safety Consultant - (North-West - hybrid - office either in Liverpool or Manchester a couple of days per week) - £50k-£55k + excellent package
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Risk Management: Identify, eliminate, or control foreseeable risks throughout the design process.
- Coordination: Liaise with designers and contractors to ensure effective communication and integration of health and safety considerations.
- Pre-Construction Information: Compile and manage relevant documentation, including site surveys, environmental reports, and existing data.
- Health & Safety File: Prepare and maintain the Health and Safety File for handover at project completion.
- Compliance: Ensure all design work complies with CDM 2015 and other relevant legislation and standards.
- Design Reviews: Lead regular design coordination meetings to assess and mitigate risks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with planning consultants, environmental specialists, and engineering teams to ensure safe and sustainable design outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience as a Principal Designer under CDM 2015, ideally in residential, commercial and education projects.
- Professional qualification in architecture, engineering, or construction design.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., IOSH, RIBA, ICE, CIOB, APS).
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation and risk management in design.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
