Quantity Surveyor required to join a busy and driven Highways team in Snodland, Kent. The role will involve supporting projects across the South East region, with the QS playing a key role in the commercial team, working closely with the Managing Quantity Surveyor and building strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing subcontracts: issuing tender enquiries, awarding contracts, and assessing monthly payment applications
- Supporting the preparation of monthly CVRs and forecasts (internal and client-facing)
- Assisting with final account agreements and substantiations
- Ensuring compliance with Tarmac and client processes to mitigate commercial risk
- Accurately valuing completed work and ensuring timely cash collection
- Preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment
- Issuing early warning notices and managing compensation events
What We re Looking For
- Previous experience in surfacing or highways infrastructure projects
- Strong drive and ambition to succeed
- NEC3/4 contract experience (highly desirable)
- Solid subcontract administration skills
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
