Intermediate Quantity Surveyor – Birmingham – Permanent – circa £50,000 plus benefits An opportunity has arisen to join an industry leader in the UK’s De-Carbonisation and Building Services sector as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, within their Birmingham office. This permanent role will commence from January 2025, although it is also open to candidates who may need to give notice to their current employer and start a little later. Our client offer turnkey design, build, and operational solutions for commercial energy centres and large-scale district heating plant schemes. They are also now one of the leading manufacturers in the delivery of De-Carbonisation projects. Typical contracts will see our client act as Main Contractor, assuming control of all elements including civils, construction, building services, fabric and solar. These typically range from £5m- £15m in value. Core Responsibilities ● Responsible for securing the successful financial delivery of projects by controlling costs, progressing monthly valuations, and managing variations and change orders. ● Liaising with contracts, estimating and pre-construction teams to obtain full understanding of each project scope. ● Review and set out project package allowances prior to handover for tendering of works by operations team. ● Review & collate subcontractor package awards. ● Engage Sub-contractors, handle ne…
