Contract Type: Contract (7 months)
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a 7-month refurbishment project involving the conversion of an ex-bank building into 10 residential apartments. The project is already underway, and the successful candidate will start as soon as possible. You will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, and working closely with the client to develop and maintain a detailed schedule of works. The role requires strong leadership to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. You will also ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain excellent communication with all stakeholders throughout the project duration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all site activities related to the refurbishment project
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive schedule of works in collaboration with the client
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, and materials to meet programme deadlines
- Ensure strict adherence to health and safety standards and site compliance
- Conduct site inductions, daily briefings, and toolbox talks
- Maintain accurate site documentation, including reports and risk assessments
- Act as the primary point of contact for the client and other stakeholders
- Identify and resolve site issues promptly to maintain progress and quality
Skills
- Proven experience managing refurbishment projects, preferably involving residential conversions
- Strong ability to produce and manage detailed schedules of works
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder management
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and site compliance
- Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors and site operatives
- IT literate with experience in site reporting and documentation

Remuneration
Daily rate between £270 and £300 per day
