We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading main contractor on a £20m construction project. This is a long-term opportunity working on a 30-week programme. The project is a large extension and newbuild project to a large industrial building. The building will remain live during the extension project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing sub-contractors for steel frame and groundworks packages
- Quality Assurance (QA) checks and inspections
- Checking and signing off subcontractors' works
- Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with drawings, specifications, and programme
- Working closely with a directly employed site team, including the Project Manager (PM) and Site Manager (SM)
- Assisting with health & safety compliance on site
Requirements:
- Valid SMSTS
- First Aid certification
- CSCS card
- Proven experience working on steel frame and groundworks projects
- Previous experience working for a main contractor
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively within a site management team
