About Our Client
Our client is an employee-owned, multi-disciplinary consultancy of technical specialists in Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering, delivering commercial and technical excellence across the UK. Their dynamic and growing team is at the forefront of the built environment.
The Role
Our client is seeking a Environmental Engineer to join their Leeds team. This role involves:
- Delivery and management of site investigation projects
- Supervision of remedial and earthworks
- Support to their Infrastructure and Structural Engineering teams
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare desk studies, and factual and interpretative reports
- Conduct hazardous ground gas/groundwater monitoring and sampling
- Supervise and manage ground investigation works, including soil and rock logging/sampling
- Coordinate with subcontractors and internal teams
Candidate Requirements
- Degree in geology, environmental science, civil engineering, or similar
- Desirable: Master’s with environmental or geotechnical focus
- Minimum 2 years’ post-graduate experience
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Comfortable supervising and liaising with contractors
- Working towards chartered status (e.g. CEng, CSci, CGeol)
- Willingness to travel/work away from home when required
- Full UK driving licence
