We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a new modular building project at HPM Channings Wood, Newton Abbot. This long-term freelance role requires a hands-on professional with a proven track record in modular construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate subcontractors, manage site logistics, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations. Due to the nature of the site, a recent EL1 security clearance is mandatory to gain access to the prison environment. This role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all site operations for the modular building project
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and labour teams to meet programme milestones
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards

- Manage quality control and snagging processes to ensure high standards of workmanship
