We are seeking a competent and proactive Site Manager to oversee the installation of an 8-bay modular temporary classroom in Cranfield, Bedford. This short-term role requires hands-on site management to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, and to the required quality standards. The successful candidate will coordinate subcontractors, manage site operations, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations throughout the modular build process. Previous experience in modular construction is highly desirable, ideally with knowledge of modular installation techniques and site logistics. The role demands strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage site documentation and risk assessments effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day site activities for the modular classroom installation
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure smooth workflow on site
- Oversee health and safety compliance, including site inductions and toolbox talks
- Maintain and update site documentation such as RAMS, permits, and sign-ins
- Monitor quality control and ensure the project meets client specifications
- Liaise with clients and project teams to resolve issues promptly
- Ensure site welfare and safety standards are upheld at all times
