We are looking for a talented and collaborative Civil Design Engineer to join a forward-thinking design studio with a mission to create sustainable, climate-conscious, and inspiring projects across multiple sectors.

You will bring experience across a mix of sectors such as residential, education, commercial, development, and regeneration, and have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects for both private and public-sector clients.

This is more than a design role — you will be influencing projects through your technical expertise, creative thinking, and collaborative approach, while developing leadership skills and supporting the growth of a talented engineering team.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality civil and structural engineering design across a variety of sectors.
  • Prepare and check drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Brief engineers and technicians on project requirements.
  • Attend site visits and project team meetings.
  • Take part in internal design reviews and critiques.
  • Plan project resources and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 and internal quality management systems.

About You

  • Recently chartered or on track for chartership.
  • Strong design experience and technical capability in civil engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
  • Commercially aware with the ability to manage project resources effectively.
  • Passionate about sustainable design and improving the built environment.
