Anderselite are working with a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy who are seeking to appoint a Chartered Building Surveyor to join their established team in Cheltenham. The Role
You will be involved in delivering building surveying services on projects ranging from small-scale refurbishments to large new build and redevelopment schemes, with values from Β£50k to Β£30m+. The role offers a varied workload across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, retail, and public estates, alongside opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
β Undertaking building and condition surveys and preparing reports.
β Advising on design, construction, maintenance, repair and refurbishment of residential, commercial and educational properties.
β Preparing specifications, tender documents, schedules of condition, and contract administration.
β Carrying out defect analysis, dilapidations, and insurance reinstatement work.
β Acting as lead consultant and managing multi-disciplinary teams on refurbishment and new build projects.
β Advising clients on compliance with building regulations and technical standards.
β Managing party wall matters, notices, and awards.
β Leading projects through all stages, including client liaison and development.
β Supervising, mentoring and supporting junior surveyors.
β Managing quality assurance across deliverables.
Candidate Requirements
β MRICS qualified.
β Strong technical knowledge of building surveying across multiple sectors.
β Consultancy background with experience managing client relationships.
β Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
β Capable of leading projects and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
β Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
β Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
