About the role
We are looking for an early-career Town Planner to support a diverse range of projects, including residential, healthcare, education, student accommodation, cultural, and energy sectors. Reporting to senior planners, you will gain hands-on experience across planning applications, site appraisals, and client engagement, building your skills and career in a supportive consultancy environment.
Key responsibilities
- Support planning applications and produce high-quality planning documents.
- Conduct site appraisals, research, and policy analysis.
- Assist senior planners in managing client relationships and project delivery.
- Work closely with urban designers, landscape architects, and other specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
- Contribute to public consultations, planning committees, and stakeholder meetings.
- Gain exposure to planning systems in both England and Wales.
Candidate requirements
Essential:
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- 1-4 years of planning experience, ideally in a consultancy setting.
- Understanding of planning policy and development processes in England and Wales.
- Proactive, organised, and collaborative with strong communication skills.
Desirable:
- Experience preparing planning applications and supporting submissions.
- Familiarity with public consultation processes and stakeholder engagement.
- Professional accreditation or working toward RTPI membership.
